What does the Payoneer Fee Calculator for Indian Users calculate?
| Item | Type | What it means | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Invoice amount (USD) | Input | The amount your client sends to your Payoneer USD receiving account | Freelancers and exporters invoicing in USD |
| Mid-market rate | Input | The USD to INR rate before any fee, loaded by the page and shown with its date | Anyone checking how far Payoneer's rate sits from the market |
| Low estimate (INR) | Output | INR received using the most favourable figures Payoneer publishes: no receiving fee and a 1% conversion fee | Users whose account Fees page shows the lowest published rates |
| High estimate (INR) | Output | INR received using the least favourable figures: 1% receiving fee (minimum $1), 4% conversion fee and 18% GST on the receiving fee | Users planning cash flow with a safety margin |
| Cost range (%) | Output | Total cost as a share of the invoice at the mid-market rate, for both estimates | Users comparing the possible spread before checking their account |
| Receiving fee | Output | Zero in the low estimate and 1% with a $1 minimum in the high estimate | Users receiving small USD payments |
How is the Payoneer Fee for Indian Users calculation done?
The Payoneer fee calculator shows a range because Payoneer's pages give different fees for Indian users. The low estimate uses no receiving fee and a 1% conversion fee. The high estimate uses a 1% receiving fee with a $1 minimum, a 4% conversion fee, and 18% GST on the receiving fee.
Low: INR = amount x mid-market rate x (1 - 1%). High: receiving fee = 1% of amount (minimum $1); INR = (amount - receiving fee) x mid-market rate x (1 - 4%) - 18% GST on the receiving fee in INR.
For example, on a $1,000 payment at an example rate of ₹96.79, the low estimate is ₹95,822.10, a cost of 1.00%. The high estimate deducts a $10 receiving fee, converts $990 at ₹92.92 and subtracts ₹174.22 GST, giving ₹91,814.99, a cost of 5.14%. With no receiving fee and the 3.00% in Payoneer's India fee notice, it would be ₹93,886.30.
How do you use the Payoneer Fee Calculator for Indian Users?
- Enter the USD amount your client will send to your Payoneer receiving account.
- Check the mid-market rate and its date shown under the amount.
- Read the low and high INR estimates and the cost range between them.
- Sign in to Payoneer and open the Fees page in your account, which Payoneer says shows the fees that apply to you.
- Use your account's figures to see where your payment falls inside the range.
What does your result mean?
The Payoneer fee calculator result is a range, and your actual payout is likely to fall between the low and high estimates. A wide gap means Payoneer's published figures disagree for your amount. For a $1,000 payment the total cost runs from 1.00% to 5.14%. Your account Fees page shows the exact figure.
- Low estimate: Uses the India multi-currency account page, which says receiving USD is free for customers from India, and the bottom of the 1% to 4% conversion range.
- High estimate: Uses the global pricing page's 1% receiving fee with a $1 minimum and the top of the 1% to 4% conversion range.
- Fee notice: Payoneer's India fee notice lists 3.00% for withdrawals in a currency different from the bank account currency, which sits inside the range.
- Small payments: On a $50 payment the high estimate costs about 6.3%, because the $1 minimum receiving fee weighs more.
What does the Payoneer Fee Calculator for Indian Users assume, and what does it not cover?
- Conflicting fees: The India pricing page lists a fixed fee or 1% for receiving non-local currency and 1% to 4% for conversion. The global pricing page lists 1% with a $1 minimum. The India account page says USD receiving is free for India.
- Rates used: Payoneer says its conversion fee is included in its conversion rate, so the calculator applies it as a percentage off the mid-market rate. Figures were read on 8 October 2026.
- Taxes included: No Payoneer page we checked states how GST applies to its fees. The low estimate adds none, and the high estimate adds 18% on the receiving fee only.
- Not covered: The unpublished fixed receiving fee, the $29.95 annual account fee, card and PayPal payment requests, marketplace payouts and intermediary bank charges on wires are not included.
What do people get wrong when calculating this?
- Single figure: Quoting one Payoneer fee for India can be wrong, because Payoneer's own pages give different figures for the same payment.
- Annual fee: Payoneer charges $29.95 if you receive less than $6,000 in any 12 consecutive months, which adds cost for low volumes.
- Wire charges: Payoneer says intermediary banks may take fees on USD wire transfers, so the amount reaching your account can be lower than the invoice.
- Skipping the account: Payoneer says the fees that apply to you appear on the Fees page of your account, so check it before quoting a price.
